Since 1965, Vancouver's Langara College has been offering a broad curriculum designed to meet the post-secondary education needs of the community. The curriculum is based on an integrated and cross-disciplinary approach designed to enhance the learner’s ability to apply and transfer knowledge. Post-secondary students can enrol in regular studies courses, which include first and second year university transfer courses, or select one of the specialised career programs that require one or two years to complete and result in a diploma or a certificate.
The education and services provided are comprehensive, current and innovative, with field studies such as Study in Italy, Study Abroad Program, Europe and the External Study Program in Japan, as well as archaeological digs in Chinatown, Fort Langley and remote areas of British Columbia. More Langara College university transfer students are accepted by the University of British Columbia into a first degree program than from any other college in the province.
