Since opening its doors in 1967 in Welland, Niagara College has expanded into other parts of the Niagara. It is home to the Canadian Food and Wine Institute, and School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport, as well as one of Canada’s foremost programs in policing.

The College has more than 21 co-operative education opportunities, seven apprenticeships and three skills-training options. Also provided are the four-year Bachelor of Applied Business in Hospitality Operations Management, offered in collaboration with George Brown College – which includes two paid co-op work terms – and the four-year Bachelor of Applied Technology, which includes three paid co-op work terms.
