Scholarships

A total of six VIU International Undergraduate Regional Scholarships are given each year, with awards of CA$5,000 each (CA$2,500 awarded for the first year of study and CA$2,500 for the second year). The scholarships are awarded to international students applying for entry into the first year of an undergraduate academic program. The award is based upon the entered grades from submitted high school transcripts. No application is necessary.

A maximum of three Full Program Scholarships provide CA$1,000 per year for up to four years of academic study. They are available to international students who have graduated with an IB diploma. Selection is based upon highest average of combined marks from an IB school. Awarding of second, third and fourth year scholarships is dependent on retention of a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Entry Scholarships award CA$1,000 for the first year of study to new international student graduates with an IB diploma. They are awarded as a tuition credit at Vancouver Island University in their second academic semester. No application is necessary.
